Dear Prospective Client,

Imagine something that you really want in your life.  No, not that new car, rather things like better relationships, less stress, or to simply be happier.  Now imagine that thing is on the other side of a door.  You just have to open the door and you will have what you want in your life.  There is a problem, though.  The door is locked.  What will you do?

My job is helping people find the keys to open the doors to get what they want in their lives.  Over and over again I see clients use psychological principles to open both personal and professional doors.   However, many people find it difficult to see a counselor.  “That would mean I’m crazy” or “I should be able to handle it on my own” are common thoughts that make it difficult to start therapy.  This is a sad state of affairs because research demonstrates that therapy helps people significantly improve their lives.

My practice is based upon the idea that all of us need help in learning how to live better lives.  Everyone encounters problems and obstacles.  Whether it is learning how to communicate more effectively, managing stress, or solving problems, we can all benefit from new skills.  And why wouldn’t we need such skills?  To look at just one specific area: relationships.  Almost no one has had a “relationship 101” class and yet we are expected to be able to succeed in relationships.  Unfortunately the result is often feeling that we have failed and remaining stuck in our difficulties.

There is another way!  You can learn how to overcome obstacles and achieve what you want in your life.  I offer an approach that utilizes the most up-to-date ways of improving lives.

Ø   Stress and Anxiety.  Comprehensive programs to successfully manage stress at home and in the workplace.  I also help people deal with issues like shyness and traumatic experiences.

Ø   Life Planning and Transitions. Helping people live empowered, fulfilling lives.

Ø   Relationship Skills. Helping couples make relationship dreams a reality

Ø   Health Psychology. Helping people prevent and manage medical problems like heart disease, pain conditions, and irritable bowel syndrome.

Let me know if any of these services sound helpful.  I would be happy to talk with you about how you can unlock the doors to a better life.

 I wish you well

Mike Monroe
